Hard Pill to Swallow | Badlands, Texas

Something was taken from Tringa that can't be given back. I don't think in my lifetime Tring was ever hit this hard. This was an atrocity; that's a hell of a thing for a community to try and swallow. But they ain't going to forget.

Tony Flint just walked out a free man. It doesn't get any worse than that. The place that I was staying at for the trial, when I first checked in, within about 30 minutes I found out that he and his family were staying there. Come on, come on!

I immediately canceled my reservation, packed all my things out of the room, and moved to another motel because I was not about to have to come into contact with that man. I'd heard he'd been walking freely the halls and hanging out outside and eating good food and having his drinks. I didn't want to be in that situation to have to witness that, so I got the hell out of there.

If Glenn were here today, it'd be so different because we wouldn't be shooting these silly bottles. But he's with me because I finally hit one. I just wish we could start all over. I wish I had that chance to shoot with Glenn again.

All right, if I could start over, I'd have my friend back. But life deals you certain, certain horrible things, and I can't ever have my friend back. So.

Debris | Vocabulary | Khan Academy
Oh hello, word Smith! You’ve caught me at a bit of an awkward time. You see, I’ve just survived a storm at sea; there was a shipwreck, and I clung to a piece of debris like a barnacle. I floated ashore like a bug on a twig. I’ve got to do a word, don’t I…
