Traditionally, climbers are seen as very friendly, lovely people. But there's something going on at the moment. We perform the best on the big stage. This is the most intense season I've ever experienced. I've been training for 10 hours a day, eating, sleeping, and training. I'm going all in tonight. I'm going to risk everything. I am going to be the center of attention for a while. Now is my moment. This is me.

To qualify, you need to win this comp. Only the top three get to go to the next qualifier. When you're in the comp, you are not friends. They travel together, they train together, they compete against each other. Their world is climbing.

What makes the difference in a competition is your wish for being the best in the world. I just wanted it to be different. I know I feel so good. For one, we're all humans; anything can happen. We need to figure this out now. It could all be over. You're on the same team, but are you rooting for them? Some people are a bit too full of themselves.
