Есть вы двое ваших друзей и три варианта: бургеры, пицца и суши. Допустим, вы любите бургеры и предпочитаете этот вариант другим. На втором месте пицца, а на последнем — суши.

Ваш друг расставляет варианты иначе: пицца, суши, бургеры, а подруга — суши, бургеры, пицца. При таком раскладе можно предположить, что победили суши, потому что двое из троих предпочли их бургером, а наоборот проголосовали только вы.

Но по тому же принципу у суши выигрывает пицца, а у пиццы — бургеры. И каждый раз два к одному. Похоже, вам с друзьями придётся ходить по кругу: бургеры лучше, чем пицца, пицца лучше, чем суши, суши лучше, чем бургеры и так далее.
