Hey, what's up? Imagine you're a farmer and you're really, really excited about planting a new carrot garden. You picture this in your mind: a field full of juicy carrots. You can give all these carrots to your friends. You want to be known as the carrot guy.

You phone up your friends and tell them you're going to start a carrot garden. You're super excited. You go on the internet and you look up these tips and tricks to get the best carrot garden of all time. You keep on hyping yourself up to do this until it's late at night, and you realize it's too late to plant your carrot garden.

I don't know how many times I said "carrot garden." This sounds like a familiar type of scenario. You want to go to the gym; you realize you haven't been to the gym in a while or maybe you haven't gone at all. You picture this future version of yourself—the jacked or the slimmer version of yourself.

So, you look up on the internet the best way to lose weight or the best way to gain muscle. You even buy some protein. You buy some new workout gear, a Fitbit, and you go to the gym on Monday. It's a great workout. It kind of kicked your butt; it was harder than you thought it would be, but you went.

Then you go to sleep. You wake up, and you don't really want to go to the gym on Tuesday. The motivation to go just sort of left. And this happens so often in our lives. We start something but don't really know how to continue it, let alone continue it for a really long period of time until you see the results.

But back to the carrot garden—actually, there are three stages to growing a successful crop. Stage one is the planting. You know, you do all the necessary prep in order to start your journey. Number two is—I'm not going to say it right now because that's what this video is about. People always forget what step number two is. And number three is harvesting, and that's the thing that people get excited for.

That's why they plant in the first place, because they're envisioning in their head this awesome, plentiful harvest. But people always seem to forget the most important crucial part. It's the longest section of that journey; it's the longest part, it's the most, most important part, and it's actually the most boring part.

And that part two is called [Music] cultivation. Whenever anyone wants to change something about their life, they always think about the harvest. And that harvest gets them excited enough to plant, but they forget to cultivate. It's about picking up a pail of water and watering your plants every single day, seeing no result whatsoever, but you still got to do it every single day over a long period of time.

That's sort of just the theme for self-improvement in general. It's just to pick up that pail of water and water that seed, whether you see a result or not. So, I'll challenge you all to figure out what you want to change. You know, take a week to think about it and then really sort of think about what you have to do. What's the daily grind, and are you prepared to do it?

I forgot to record an after credit scene. If you like this video, uh, like it, and if you want to watch future videos, subscribe. I'm on a dirt road right now, and it's probably not good that I'm multitasking doing this, but stay tuned for the next video—another one's coming right [Music] up.

Whenever someone wants to change something about their life, they always are, um, you know, pick out your favorite little carrot seed. I'm—I have no idea where I'm going with this.
