The New Sourcerer

Hey guys, this is Mac Edson, and today is going to be a video on the latest version of Sorcerer. So before I admit that Sorcerer didn't do the best stuff in the world, and it was pretty plain and simple, but now I added a few great features to Sorcerer and put them on the App Store that will hopefully make it um lovable.

So first of all, here's the new icon on the home screen and the new name. Now, um, the current version on the App Store doesn't have the new icon and the new name because I haven't submitted them yet, but it will have everything else I'm about to show you. So when you open it up, here's what it looks like.

So there's still this bar at the top; it still works just the same way. So if I do view source, um, I can still scroll down and stuff, click this up button. But now there's another bar right here. So if I click view page, it'll load the website that I was just viewing the source of right here. So that way you say you see something weird in the source code, and um you want to be able to um view this page to make sure that um that weird thing isn't affecting the page, or it is, um, you can view the page.

Um, so this is a great little feature that makes it closer to being a web browser. Next, um, say you see a piece of code that you want to test out and figure out if you can make it work. You can click the Testing Zone button, and this lets you write your own HTML code. So you can write your own code right here. I'm sorry, I'm going to turn off keyboard correction in a second. You can also turn off keyboard correction.

Okay, I'll turn it off. Okay, so this is our preview feature. So not only can you view a page and view the source, you can write your own source up and see what it looks like. So if I close it, click Testing Zone again, it'll save what I just typed in before. So that way I can write up a nice little page and show someone later on.

And that's why it's cool in my opinion because if you ever see anything that you want to try out, you can try it out right on the go from your iPhone. So this is a great little feature that I love very much. So this is the Sorcerer with the added Testing Zone feature and view page feature. In later versions, I might add a full-blown web browser, but I'm not sure, um, and I might add a bookmarks feature; I'm not sure about that either.

So anyway, check out the new Sorcerer. Um, thanks for watching, Mac Kids, and goodbye.
