Virusses On Macs

Maads 101 here. Today, this is just going to be a demonstration that it is possible for a virus to get on your computer to do something that is not good. Um, I've gotten comments on my other video about virus issues that say it's impossible to make a virus that actually does harm to a Mac, even though I demonstrated a program that did not do harm to my Mac but did, um, do stuff that was relatively annoying.

I made something called virus.app right here on my desktop that, um, creates a million files on my computer and overall makes Finder stop responding. It's very harmful. So I'll just open up virus.appp. It says deleting hard drive, hard drive deleted. Um, you'll notice now my computer's sort of getting slow and laggy, and I just quit out of there. Um, and all these stupid files are on my desktop. I can't get rid of these.

Um, okay, so these files on my desktop are not good things for me to have. Um, actually, even if I delete these few right here like this, and I delete maybe these, there's still one right there. Oh no, there's another one right... Oh, H! Oh no, there are so many right over there in the top right-hand corner. I can't get rid of them all.

Luckily, I've made a, um, fix script which fixes this. First of all, I'll show you also in my home folder, there are a few junk files, and in my documents, um, there are a bunch of junk files. Not only can my program create files, it could delete files. If you were an administrator, it could delete every file, which wouldn't be a good thing.

Now I'm going to open my, um, fixer script which I worked so hard on. I'll just get rid of that. Um, um, and that's pretty, um, a bad thing that you wouldn't really want to happen on your computer. So that just proves that viruses can do malicious things on a Mac or on a PC. Just because you have a Mac does not mean that you are safer than anyone else.

Um, thanks for watching, Maads. Uh, subscribe please. Um, goodbye.
