Touring A California Mansion

So we're listed for 12 million dollars. The main house is over six thousand square feet, and then this path leads out to over fourteen miles of trails. It's actually not a pool; it's a hot tub. You can bring a car in through the barn doors here. I told you for a zombie apocalypse, if there's anywhere you're gonna be stranded or anywhere you want to be, it's up here.

What's up you guys? It's Graham here. So, we just drove over seven hours from Los Angeles all the way up to San Francisco to check out this crazy new listing. It's twelve million dollars on over 500—wait for it—acres of land right by the beach. It looks absolutely crazy! I have not seen this house before, so I will take you guys along this journey, and we could check it out together. So come on, let's go see this listing!

So, he got past the gate. We're still driving up the driveway. Now, this is the longest driveway I have ever seen, and it keeps going. This maybe is a full mile. This could be a mile-long driveway! Like, this is the perfect place, by the way, if there's any sort of zombie apocalypse. This is where you want to be living. You don't want to be in the city. You don't want to be anything; you want to be at this place.

This has the Graham Stefan guarantee that you will be safe from any sort of apocalypse. Alright, so here, let's go on inside and check out this house.

Hey! Hey! Hi, Juliet! Cool, des cool! The group at Keller Williams Realty. Thanks, Billy! Yeah, and make you so much! I really appreciate it. So, tell me a little bit about the property.

So, we're listed for twelve million dollars. The main house is over six thousand square feet. We have a second residence; we call it the elegant barns—great for entertaining. The additional two bedrooms and 3,000 square feet are located on over 500 acres.

That's insane! Yeah. Where are we walking to right now? What is that?

Going into the library here, you'll see there's walnut floors—distressed walnut floors—throughout the house. The interior designer, Kristi, will—an incredible designer—she created this whole feel where they love the bold colors. I understand the colors here are actually taken from an initial design meeting with the owners, where she had a—I guess—a beautiful designer scarf and she mentioned how she liked the colors. So, the interior designer kind of ran with that color palette.

This almost reminds me of an Hermes showroom; that's what it seems like to me! Yeah, it's an amazing feeling—incredible! Yes, this has been wood—petal cut, hand-cut wood—for the overlay here.

So, what is this over here?

So this is the dining area. Actually, originally the house, when they bought it, this was part of the patio. So you can see the extensive work they did on the remodel, where they actually wanted the dining room to be a little bit bigger.

Yes, and to go outside, you can see you're overlooking some of the outdoor spaces and gardens, and off to the right, ocean mountain views.

So then here's the powder room. They have a lot of fun with the small little powder rooms, just to kind of give a nice impact for the guests. And here you can see there's onyx and beautiful tile work.

Now, what I find more amazing is that—by the way, you guys—all of these orchids are real! That's expensive! You know, in a lot of these properties, you see all of these is just like, you know, artificial plants. These people did it nice.

And this is a special glass backsplash behind the stove. This room's incredible because every window you look out to the mountain or ocean, it's just a beautiful place to be cooking and entertaining or just relaxing.

So, one of my favorite parts is this door kitchen area also. Okay, and these owners, they did all of this work also: the patio's wood-burning fireplace. You can see there's a TV out here, heaters, fire pit. I love how peaceful it is out here.

Oh yeah, you have 500 acres? Incredible! Like, it's completely quiet. I'm not used to that. I'm used to like, there's helicopters and like police sirens like— that's Los Angeles. You come up here; I don't think I've heard silence for a very long time.

That's weird! It's scary! And then this path leads out to over 14 miles of trails. So the additional side yard of the 350 acres attaches up this hill, and the trails are cut in. You cannot look out to the ocean and it's an incredible place just to hike and just take in nature.

One of my favorite elements here, to keep it simple, is there's all this—you know, everything is controlled smart lighting. Basically, it can be controlled from your phone. Here, I can just hit one button, and the whole house lights shut down.

Okay, so if you're pulling up into the garage, there's a three-car garage here.

Oh, so we got the new Audi e-tron here. This is actually kind of cool! So you got the e-tron here. Haven't seen these before. And then we also got a Fisker Karma—that's neat.

Alright, so we'd like to the master first?

Yes. Alright, so you enter into sort of a dressing room. As you can see, the interior designer customized this wall as kind of part of the closet; it's a nice display of, you know, different makes. A lot easier deciding what you're gonna wear when you can see what you have.

Wow, it almost feels a bit like a cabin, but not really. And so it's a rustic elegance, really! It's like a coastal kind of elegance. I love this!

Oh yeah, and right here, the TV actually pops up! It's kind of cool! That's incredible!

And this master bathroom is my favorite room in the house. We actually have a laser cut mother-of-pearl lamp. I can only imagine how expensive something like that is. I have never seen that before. Even the soap dispenser—that's attention to detail! The soap dispenser and the tissue dispenser—this thing, that's heavy! You know that's good when it's that heavy.

Okay, so I'm gonna show you the other son's room—clothes room.

Okay, so one of my favorite parts about this room is the secret room. What? You can imagine every boy's dream! Wow, this is so fun! This is my favorite part of the entire place! And he's into airplanes—they had chalk drawings of all the airplanes. This is so cool!

So what is down here?

So down here we have your wine tasting room—temperature controlled—also like kind of a little second entertaining area.

Also, wow! And at night, this is really amazing, and you have the lit onyx. And what's great here, you actually have views to the outside mountains.

It's really grateful! And of course, every house needs a media room. The choice of movie posters here—from Shrek to Skyfall to Anchorman to Gladiator—and it's nice!

This whole area here, you have over 500 acres, but they have this nice fenced-in area to create sort of a—get the deer out of the main gardens and herbs over here.

So as you leave the main house, you'll head down to the area where they often entertain you.

Okay, so you can see beautiful extensive gardens—very peaceful! You like bocce ball?

No, I've never really played!

Oh, and then there's heat lamps already set out in live! I mean, it is completely dialed in! This was a professional—like you would see at some restaurant or something.

This actually one of my favorite features here is the pool, but it's actually not a pool; it's a hot tub!

No! That isn't your... There's a built-in CD! Wow, that is probably one of the biggest hot tubs I have seen!

Okay, so now we're entering the second residence.

Okay, we call it the elegant barn.

Oh, this is my favorite part of the entire house! I love this! So this is, again, this is great! This is basically a blank palette; you could do anything in this room. As far as you could bring a car in through the barn doors here, you could just—how they have it set up for entertaining—for their son who's in high school and his friends come.

Also, you could have a party here! Dance party or turn it into a ballroom?

Okay, there's a catwalk here, and up above, you can see these chairs. We should actually go up there, and I'll show you!

So this is the catwalk up above, looking down on—if you're having a party. I love these benches because they turn into party crasher sleeping areas.

And over here you have a two-bedroom suite—full bathroom—kept with the bar, an original barn style. And this is an office between the two bedrooms.

Oh, and since this resident, they have a full kitchen downstairs; you could actually have someone living over here too.

But now let's walk over to the tennis court! Let's see it.

So where does the property line go exactly?

This—the main part—when they bought the house, I mentioned it was the two residences on 160 acres. It's basically a large square up along this Ridge just before that ridgeline up here and down through the valley. You could see where the driveway is.

And up at the top, at the ridgeline, you overlook the ocean side where all the water tanks are!

Wow! Go over to the left; we have a workshop. It's actually pretty good square footage; you can get a couple of cars in there. They have a Polaris and just kind of a fun area to work—it’s so cool! Also, the well equipment is in there.

There's a well—equipped well?

This? This?

Wow, yes!

Yeah, okay, a water well! And is it really—it actually be fun to show you the water tanks. They have something like 30 water tanks up there for fire water and all the various things.

I was saying this is the perfect place for a zombie apocalypse! Like, if it's gonna be that, I would like to be up here!

Yeah, that's what I was thinking! Yeah, I'm gonna throw that into my advertising good—like I would just be hanging out in here all day!

What's behind those doors?

Oh, that's the well equipment, so well.

Okay, so again, the actual holding tanks are up the hill. You see some of the equipment here, yeah. And if you're into well equipment, this is a great spot to hang out! Long— all the pipes and stuff like that.

So now we're heading to the tennis courts; these were actually not here when we sold the property five, six years ago. Prior owners did not have a tennis court, but this was added recently by our owners.

Today, do you play tennis?

What do you mean by play tennis? Guys were doing it. This is unplanned! See, this is why I like unscripted these videos!

We're gonna play tennis for a quick second!

So when I said I knew how to play, I meant ping pong.

Oh! First! Do you want to serve?

Okay! If you use this, you gotta make me look good! Okay, don't use that one!

Okay, so this may be the best-kept secret! Realtors really do all day at their listings! Serena Williams, I'm coming after you next! Watch out! That's fun! We can just hang out here, just play tennis all day! It's fine; screw the house, we just do this.

Yeah, what I find amazing is that you have ten children, and you're in shape, and you're walking up here, and I have zero children, and I'm just like, “Oh!”

Oh, so how close are we then to San Francisco?

We're actually 28 miles from the San Francisco Airport!

Okay, so it gives you some perspective! Commute from here, whether you're going to Silicon Valley or San Francisco, you're probably looking at about a 45 to 50-minute commute either way!

If you're concerned about water storage—wow! I think we have enough water here for all of Half Moon Bay! That is impressive!

I told you for a zombie apocalypse, if there's anywhere you're gonna be stranded or anywhere you want to be, it's up here for 12 billion dollars! If you want to ensure safety!

Yeah, I would never—you can't even find the driveway! So how would a zombie find you if I can't even find the driveway with the GPS?

Think about that for a second—facts! Come up a little farther; you can see on a clear day—I said I thought you were about to say if you walk a little bit farther, you can see really how Graham is out of shape!

Yeah, so from the top of this Ridgeline, you can actually see the Ritz Carlton Hotel, and you're ten minutes from downtown Half Moon Bay!

That is gorgeous! As you can hear, it's pretty quiet! Ocean—the silence from up there was amazing!

That is something you never get in a huge city without the constant drone of planes and helicopters and sirens!
