New Apple Products: October 2009

Hey guys, this is Matt Kids, and one with the video on some of the new products that Apple has come out with in the last few weeks. But before I go on, I'll say sorry we haven't been making many videos recently, it's because we're working so hard on our company, and you can expect to see some 3D apps coming out from Jitsik pretty soon.

So okay, as you may have noticed, if you went to apple.com, you'll see that they have a few more products. So I'm just gonna go over these one by one.

First, there's the new iMac they came out with, and they focused mainly on graphics. They refreshed the Intel chip; now they have an Intel i7, so it'll be slightly faster than that in that term. You can now get a 27 inch iMac that'll have a higher pixel density, so everything will be crisper and smaller.

I don't exactly understand why they did that, but it is a revolutionary monitor. For that, now you'll be able to plug it into another computer and use it as a monitor if you want to do that after you're done using it as a computer in maybe five years or something. It's still monitor worthy.

They also made the screen go across the whole width of it. That's pretty ugly, in my opinion, but some people like it. And they had an SD card slot, so that's the new iMac. To go along with that, they came out with a new mouse that's seventy dollars.

It's a touch sensitive mouse, so you can just flip your finger on it. It supports two finger swipes, it supports scrolling, supports clicking, of course, and the thing is that it has no buttons. So that's pretty different, and I wasn't expecting that at all; no one really wants it.

Then, they have a new MacBook. This MacBook has a sleek new design, new track pad, slightly faster processor, a brighter screen, and seven hour battery life instead of five. It's all over just a lot nicer, and if you look at this overhead view, you can see that it doesn't have a clicker either.

Now, you can't get a computer with the old clicker, which actually kind of frustrates me because I like the old clicker more. Okay, and then more recently, they came out with a new Apple TV with a new user interface. You now get 16 gigabytes of storage right on it.

It's supposedly a little faster and easier to use, and so I thought they would just discontinue these, but they didn't. It's pretty weird, but I would still suggest getting one because these are full-blown computers, just like, say, the iPod Touch or the iPhone. Being so, people have made jailbreak software so you can jailbreak an Apple TV and use it to browse the web.
