Для меня митохондрии ассоциируются с разрушением. Я сразу думаю о том, как молекулы сахара расщепляются и в процессе клеточного дыхания или катаболизма передают свою энергию АТФ.

Но в митохондриях происходит и сборка важнейших клеточных компонентов. Вряд ли кто-то ещё не знает, что наши клетки считывают информацию ДНК, чтобы понять, в каком порядке соединять строительные блоки – аминокислоты.

Но где, где делаются буквы для этих инструкций? В митохондриях, конечно! Основные компоненты нуклеотидов, из которых состоит ДНК, формируются в митохондриальном матриксе. Тетрагидрофуран и озвучено студии Верт Дайдер.
