How To Sell a $25,000,000 Private Jet
Okay, uh, which 550 are you calling about? What would you like to know about it? The asking price is right on this one: 27.5 on that airplane. 27.5, negotiable, right? What isn't right? [Laughter]
What's the status on the, your client? What is your client? Has you have something he's got to sell or trade in or is it a new client?
No, no, he's a client that's already on a programming. He's willing to actually buy into, buy into an aircraft. We're looking into a Global 6000 for him or an XRS or a G550 or a 650. Do you have anything else other than... we have all the above. I have a classic Global Express, I have a G650, I have a Global XRS. I don't have a 6000. And, and I have G650, so what which would you like?
Let me shoot you an email with what is there. What do you think is ideal?
Um, budget is that he wants to spend, well he's willing to spend between 23 and 25. So 23 and 25? He's really going to be a G550 is about it. If you go to a Global 6000, well you might get the earliest, earliest 6000 you might get for 25 million. Obviously if you go for an XRS you're going to be in the 15 to 20 range. G550 goes anywhere from, you know, 15 to 30. So, because it depends what year.
You won't get a G650 because that's going to be starting in the 36 million and going up to 65 million. Like a 2015 or 2018, you'll make for a G550. I'm assuming this is a little bit older, right? Ours is a 2000, it's actually put in service 2013. If you're going in 2015 or 17 you're going to be 30 million and over.
So if you go to that age you're going to get too much, and if you go for a Global 6000 that you want 2015 or 2016-17 you're also going to be over 30 million. You either have to increase your budget or you have to take a couple year older airplane.
Let's do this: I would not mind a couple year older airplane. I don't want it to be used and abused, you know what I mean?
No, listen, this 550 that we have is, uh, it's the same pilot, the same mechanic in the same hangar since it's brand new, which you know, so that's, you know, we're 10 years old. It's had two owners, but they're friends, so it just stayed in the same hanging with the same crew.
And the airplane is really, it's been in the hangar since it's new, and the interior shows a really a good nine on a ten, eight and a half on a ten, in great condition. The airplane has about 5,000 hours on it.
It's going to be on a charter certificate, or is it just going to be private?
It's going to be a Charter One. Okay, we're gonna get it. I'm gonna be using it for his private travels and I'm going to be chartering it out.
Well, this aircraft, it's on a certificate now. Do you have a charter certificate, um, that you have or are you in the aircraft brokerage business? You're an operator?
No, we have a car. Okay, so I mean it's on 135, so it's probably easy to, uh, move over to one of the AOCs in Europe.
What's his time, uh, you know, his objectives? Is it something in the next month or two or is it something longer term?
No, it's going to be not that good for the long term. I mean, it's going to be in the next month, which is for sure.
Okay, I mean if this 550 could be interesting, let me know because it occasionally comes to, you know, let me know and we can try to organize a viewing or something when it comes.
Amazing! Yes, that would be amazing actually because that would come handy just to expedite the whole process, right?
So send me that email and, uh, let's get to the next conversation going. Thank you.
Thanks for the call. Take care.
