Речь идёт о новом коннекто-схеме нейронов мозга взрослые дрозофилы, отражающий почти 140.000 нейронов с их типом характеристиками и с почти 55 миллионами синапсов соединений между ними.

И этот проект, получивший чудное имя Fly Wi от слов «Муха» и «провод» (связь), потребовал передовых технологий, от электронной микроскопии до искусственного интеллекта.

Это самый объёмный, самый сложный коннектом. До этого наиболее полным и массивным был коннектом личинки дрозофилы, то есть не взрослого насекомого.

Учёные из множества стран совместными усилиями создали комплексную карту каждого участка мозга.

Карта мозга включила в себя 8.450 типов нейронов, из которых 4580 открыты впервые. Эти новые нейроны — настоящие двери в неизведанной области науки.
