Unboxing: Hawking HWUG1 Wifi Adapter
Hey guys, this is mackinz101, and today I'm going to be doing an unboxing video of my new Hawking wireless adapter.
So, it came today in the mail from Hawking Technology, and it says, of course, works with Windows 7. But, um, I'm going to be working it with Mac, obviously.
Here are some letters. Stop, carefully open carton, blah blah blah. So, this is just shipping information. It costed thirty-four dollars, plus, um, three dollars for shipping, making a total of thirty-six dollars, dollars 36.95.
All right, so here it is! I did hear it rolling around, so I don't know what that is, but um, let's open it. Well, I'm gonna have to get some scissors.
All right, I cut that top flap off, so now I can open this. Hawking is not that known of a brand, but this is a really cheap Wi-Fi card for what it is. Um, it, it, um, ups your signal. So, if you're far from your router, it'll, um, it'll bring up the signal and it's more powerful than the one inside my Mac. So, I should usually have better Wi-Fi, and it's 2.4 gigahertz, which is the same speed as my computer.
So, I'm going to, I'll just pull this out. Didn't break anything, hopefully.
All right, now here we have a box, as you could probably tell. Just trying to see how to open it. All right, now inside the box, we've got a bunch more papers, a CD or DVD, not quite sure which yet. CD, and um, presumably this is the software for the drivers.
Okay, and here is the actual adapter. What was rolling around was the antenna, which folds. All right, so I'm gonna put the antenna right down here where you can see it, take out the adapter itself. It's really small, about the size of a USB stick, and comes in plastic. Pretty nice!
All right, so this just pops right out and it's like a USB thumb drive, except for it, it's a network adapter. Then you just screw the top antenna right in there. Doesn't look too much like a USB stick anymore.
All right, and then this can fold and turn in any direction to receive the best signal, and on the back, I just have the MAC address I'm going to cover up.
All right, so this is the Hawking HW-UG1, and if you want, I'm going to put a link in the sidebar where you can buy the Hawking adapter, as well as information about it.
So, that was just a real quick video on the unboxing. I'll do a review for it later. Didn't try it out yet, so I can't know how good it is, but it should be pretty fast.
So, here it is, and again, here's some pictures and what the box looks like.
So, thank you for watching mackinz101. Subscribe, and goodbye!
