15 Things You Should Know About Your Haters
Fifteen things you should know about your haters. Welcome to A Lux, the place where future billionaires come to get inspired.
Hey there, A Luxers! So, we have a juicy video for you today. As you know, success and haters go hand-in-hand. In fact, a good indicator that you're on the correct path and that you're doing something right are the haters. We don't know a single person who has achieved massive success without pissing off a bunch of people. Go ahead, try to name one.
Do you know that Elon Musk has haters? Everyone doing something great has. Even Jesus pissed off more than half the world's population when he said he was the son of God and died for your sins. But let's not get into that right now because we'd never get to our list, and the reason you're here today.
Whatever you're doing in life, people will judge, support, ignore, or hate on your work. Believe it or not, the worst of the previously mentioned is to be ignored because that means whatever you're doing is not worth noticing. If you're new here, welcome! Be sure to subscribe and follow us on Instagram at A Lux.
In this video, we're going to explore the hater mindset, and by the end of it, you should have a better understanding of why they are the way they are. Here are 15 things you should know about your haters.
Number one: If they could do it better, they would have done it already. Done, case closed, mic drop! This is the main reason why people hate. To be honest, we could end the video right now, and it would still be an amazing video. If your haters could have done a better job at whatever it is you're doing than you, they would have done it already. The world doesn't work on what if; it rewards those who take action, who pursue their passions and goals.
While you're on the field playing the game, they're just spectators watching you making the move they wish they could.
Number two: They want to bring you down to justify their mediocre and failed life. If you're passionate about something and hustling your way to success, you don't have time to hate on others. Hating on other people is actually quite time-consuming. You need to take time out of your life to stalk other people for extended periods of time, throwing shade, hoping that your mean comments will affect the life of someone who really doesn't know you exist. Haters are losers. The reason why they're hating on you is that if you were to fail, it would make them feel better about their miserable lives.
Number three: You'll never amount to anything unless they change. Sadly for them, haters are just a part of the crowd. In order to make a difference, you need to do things differently. You need to stand out, try different things, fail, learn, improve, and pursue your dream. Most haters tried once, failed, and now hope that everyone else will do the same just because they didn't have the willpower to improve themselves and make it happen. Being a hater is not constructive. You're not adding value; let them waste their time. We all have 24 hours in the day.
The difference between success and failure is mostly how you make use of them. While you work to improve your chances of success, haters simply throw them away.
Number four: They have a limited mindset. For some reason, haters believe there's only a limited amount of success out there. By that logic, if you get your share, you're probably taking it away from them or someone else they believe is more worthy than you.
Let's get something out of the way, and I want you to really pay close attention because this could change the way you look at life: There isn't just one pie. There are multiple pies for every single industry, and those pies are magic. They're always, always growing. So if you take a small slice out of it, there's always more pie created for those who want to come and get it.
I'll give you a couple of seconds to think about that, and if you still don't understand it, this video is probably not for you.
Number five: They're not happy. Happy people don't hate on other people's happiness. They just don't. Why would they hate? Hate only comes from a dark place within oneself.
Once you realize this, you kind of feel sorry for your haters. They're not happy, and for some reason, instead of doing something about it, they hope that if you were to also lose your happiness, that would somehow normalize their own situation, and they would feel differently. The thing is, happiness is a choice. You are not entitled to happiness. The world doesn't owe you happiness. You got to create it for yourself; otherwise, you could live your entire life in chaos, waiting for some magical force to give it to you.
Number six: They are scared of change. They're scared of the inevitable. Change happens all the time, no matter if you like it or not. What you need to remember is that those who are too scared to change usually get left behind. The future belongs to those who are the quickest to adapt. Haters are scared of trying new things. They're so scared of failure that it bothers them that you aren't as scared as they are.
Number seven: They're filled with envy. You know what they say: Those who can't, envy those who can. One of the differences between the successful and the unsuccessful is what they feel when they look at someone achieving success. Those on the road to success will look at someone who already has achieved it and be inspired, be motivated, and even get more passionate about making it.
On the other hand, when a hater sees someone doing well, they don't feel inspired. They feel a different feeling; they feel envious. The problem is, out of the two, only the first one actually improves your current situation.
Number eight: They'll justify your success as luck instead of hard work. When they can't understand it, they'll say you got lucky that you had connections. They'll say anything in order to justify themselves why you got it but don't really deserve it. This is probably the most common way people hate on each other. It's easy, and it takes out of the equation the possibility that someone has simply worked their asses off in order to get where they are.
It is way too hard to comprehend how someone who's got the same hours in a day as you, with the same two eyes, two hands, and two legs, could achieve something that you yourself could not. They're going to say you got lucky, but the thing is, the harder you work, the luckier you get.
Number nine: They don't really know you. Despite them knowing about you and having strong opinions, they probably have never met you. They don't know your story. They don't know about the sleepless nights, the worries, the sacrifices, the failures you've had, and how hard it was to get where you are today. Haters are sophisticated creatures; do not underestimate them.
Somehow, they managed to pick only the negative things about you just so it fits with their own self-constructed image about what you're like. Truth be told, if you were to meet one-on-one with all of your haters, more than half of them would leave inspired and supportive.
Number ten: They secretly want to be you. They hate us because they ain't us. That was a great line! Be honest: How many of your haters would love to be in your shoes? Answer: Most of them. In the words of our A Lux founder, "I have never seen a hater doing better than me." We tend to agree. People want what you have: the life, the success, the relationship, and your happiness. That's the reason why they're hating at its core, because you have something they don't and would love to have.
They would love to be in your shoes, and as long as you remember that, their words won't talk to you.
Number eleven: They never invest in improving themselves. These people never take the time to learn the rules of the game, and they even have the nerve to get mad when you're winning. What do they expect? Free handouts?
It took you a really long time to get where you are, and we both know it wasn't easy. In order to grow, you need to take one step at a time, invest time, effort, and even money into improving yourself. Do it for extended periods of time, and results will come. Haters compare their level one situation with your level thirty outcome. Shut up, put in the work, and join us at the top; it's a lot less crowded than at the bottom.
Number twelve: They probably stalk all of your profiles. These people are crazy! How can you spend so much time stalking someone's profiles, looking at his or her life, and still hating? It boggles our mind! The amount of time haters put into inspecting every single pic and every single aspect of your life, hoping that they can find the tiniest clue that it all might be fake and you're really as miserable as they are, is mind-boggling. They know everything you post but never hit the follow button. They're secretly your biggest fans.
Number thirteen: They gossip about you with their friends. It's always the haters who'll bring up your name or what you're doing in a conversation with their friends. That's why you should thank your haters; they're working hard on your behalf to spread awareness about you.
While some might see you the same way the hater does, others might turn out to be supporters. Believe it or not, the most efficient way to grow is to garner some haters. A couple of days ago, we published a video about things that poor people do which the rich don't, and there's been a lot of outrage from fragile snowflakes that felt offended. That video alone got us an extra thirty thousand subscribers because some people saw the value in it, while the haters only looked for the things to be outraged about.
You can check out the video in the top right-hand corner.
Number fourteen: They're only going to fuel your ambitions. Proving your haters wrong can be one of the most valuable motivations. Early on, there probably would have been people who doubted you or thought that you would fail. Sometimes, as much as it hurts, these people might even be members of your own family. Use that as fuel for your ambitions.
When you want to quit, remember that if you do, they win, and that's not what we do. Every time you see someone doubting you or hating on your progress, smile and keep moving forward. Haters are the motors of growth. No matter how you feel about them, the Kardashians worked this model perfectly. They sparked outrage, they started getting haters, then converted some of those haters into fans, and now they're cashing in massively.
Number fifteen: Haters gonna hate. The last thing we want you to remember from this video is that no matter what you do, you'll never make everyone happy. Trying to please everybody is just setting yourself up for failure.
We don't really want to do this, but Taylor Swift is right: Haters gonna hate. Some people you can't win over, and if they don't see the value, those are the people you don't want on your team.
Which brings us to the following question: How do you deal with haters? Do you engage with them or simply ignore them? Let us know in the comments.
