Не умеренно поедать арбузы - именно такой способ получить гиперкалиемию. У одного из них был диабет и хроническая болезнь почек, у второго - ишемическая кардиомиопатия. А у третьей - почечная недостаточность на гемодиализе. То есть у них у всех были серьёзные заболевания.

Но гиперкалиемия может дополнительно привнести ряд проблем, вроде мышечной слабости, аритмии или даже угрозы внезапной сердечной смерти. Объединяет всех трёх пациентов то, что за несколько недель до обострения они в больших количествах употребляли арбуз или арбузный сок.

Лекарства, принимаемые пациентами, препятствовали выведению калия, которым богат арбуз, и происходило его накопление до концентрации больше 6 ммоль на литр крови. А калия в арбузе очень много, учитывая, что дневная норма - это максимум 4 г.
