Искусственная кровь. Представьте себе, что у вас есть пациент, которому нужно перелить кровь. Вы берете у него образец его собственной крови, почти поллитра, из неё отфильтровываете стволовые клетки - предшественники эритроцитов, около полумиллиона штук. Они умеют делиться, чем мы воспользуемся: размножим их и заставим дифференцироваться в эритроциты, получив примерно 15 миллионов новых клеток.

Заметьте, в этом случае новые эритроциты будут обладать теми же характеристиками, что и эритроциты у нашего пациента: группа крови, резус-фактор, Киа фактор и множество других характеристик, определяемых антигенами в эритроцитах. Так вот, такая методика выращивания крови в лаборатории уже существует. Её вызывают Рестор: восстановление и выживаемость красных кровяных клеток, полученных из стволовых.

И сейчас медики приступили к первой стадии клинических испытаний искусственной крови на людях. Им будет переливаться в два этапа: очень небольшая доза такой крови, буквально 5-10 мл. Переливаемые эритроциты помети...
