Corn Dogs and Crushes: Teen Love at a Fair in the American South | Short Film Showcase

You either come here with somebody who has friends, or you come here to be exclusive, and you sit there and you show each other all. It's all about being things. So, I'll come right here to talk to girls. Some girls, I see a lot of pretty faces, pretty good boob size. I like my dream girl to be tall. I'll get them all, girl, 'cause I love everything.

Uh, I tried to be as nice as I can but awkward at the same time, and it seems the words don't come out right. So, he could drive you by the ways it's not behind your head. I bought the bear because maybe my girlfriend, she said she would come. She likes pears and pandas and stuff. She's coming to the fair today; we're gonna ride the rides and I'll tell her she looks beautiful, like she always does.

We started dating tonight. We were over there, and we were on a bad ride. I said, "No single riders allowed," and I said here that we can't be single. So, I asked her out. Today is like the first time we've seen each other, like in person. No, like my pictures on Instagram. We've only been talking for three days.

Three and my guy Aaron, we have been friends for a very long time, and I asked him if he would ever date me. He said no; I think he's the only other friends. So, I'm trying to flirt with my friend or whatever. She's cute; she's too beautiful.

"Are you Alec?"

Yeah, I like it when she laughs. There we go! We have quite a bit in common with the same blood type. I love her smile; she likes my eyes. We haven't said a love word yet, but I think we will. Love is when, like, you think about him 24/7. I guess you get that tingly feeling even if you see him for like a thousand times. Butterflies on your side, it's like going on a really big Tower rollercoaster and dropping down.

We've been talking for two weeks now. I was going to ask her out to be my girlfriend. I was going to ask her at the fair. We'll make it a little bit romantic. Whatever you think of a fair is cool, it's like you think of two people on it together, all in love, happy, kissing. I think it's just for couples.

You can go over there and just like be with her. It goes slow so you can cherish your time with her. Munchie dollars, I'll be seen on that, be kissing, though we're so cliché. Oh, we kissed at the top.

We've had so many awkward, lightly awkward moments, where we used to be like really shy around each other. We didn't even like barely talk. I wouldn't look at him in the eye. She's probably sitting over there. I do remember the first time I kissed.

Um, we got in trouble in school for kissing, you know, things like that are like memories. After all, we've had write-ups left, we know that we're young and we have a lot of things ahead of us. I think there's a fish or thing, really. Feta got it. I think I really do think she's the one. We gather forever.
