My Thoughts On The iPad

·Nov 3, 2024

Hey guys, this is my kids and on and today I'm going to be doing a my thoughts video on the new Apple iPad.

So first of all, I'll get started by mentioning a few things from David Pogue's review in The New York Times. David said specifically that the iPad was thought of as bad by tech geeks. So anyone who uses Linux, who really likes to program, anything like that, normally says they don't like the iPad. And anyone who's like a normal kind of person, a consumer, thinks the iPad is amazing.

He also did specifically say the iPad's bad for creating things, but it's good for using things that have already been created. So they're like, it's like, um, Pages isn't the most useful thing to have on it in the world and stuff like that. It's pretty much what he said.

Also, um, I went to the Apple Store and actually tried out the iPad, and the second I touched the iPad, I decided I have to have this thing. But then, after five minutes of touching it and using it and scrolling it and stuff like that, with it, I decided this is pretty useless. So I figured I might as well warn you guys: the second you touch it, you're probably gonna want it, but just um, resist the urge.

So that's the brief thing I'm gonna say on the iPad. I'll also say a few things. One is that it's hard to type on, despite the large keyboard. So if you're planning on using it for school documents and stuff, I'd forget about it, like in Pages, for instance.

Um, I tried typing a document, and I kept on typing the wrong words completely. So that's a real problem with the iPad. It does feel kinda sturdy when you hold it, so that's a plus. I'd have to say the iPad is good in that field, but it's bad in the functionality field.

It's also good for reading email. I think it's nice to have two views side by side, one with text and one with the list or something like that. So overall, I wouldn't really recommend getting the iPad. It's not that useful if you already have an iPod touch. It's not that—actually, I typed faster on my iPhone than I was typing on this iPad.

So, I can't guarantee that'll happen to you, but you know, it might. So those are my thoughts on the iPad, my review.

So if you have any comments, any controversial things to say, um, put them below. So, uh, thanks for watching my kids 101. Subscribe, and goodbye.
