Что сделало человека человеком? Некоторые учёные считают, что это бег. За неё, то что специфика всего нашего организма, от скелета до мягких тканей, уникальная походка говорят о приспособленности к бегу. В отличие от наших дальних родственников, вроде австралопитеков, однако, против этой гипотезы.

В нынешних первобытно подобных сообществах охота при помощи бега не очень распространена, кроме некоторых регионов Австралии и Африки. Хорошая стратегия, так не исчезло бы. Зато человек рекордсмен по бегу. Ни одно животное не может бежать столько, сколько человек.
