Около месяца назад в сообществе канала Веритасиум мы попросили зрителей выбрать любое число от одного до 100 и получили больше 200.000 ответов.

На этом графике отражается динамика ответов по мере их поступления. Невероятно увлекательно, насколько постоянно распределение чисел по популярности. Оно почти одинаково при 10, 100 и вплоть до 200.000 ответов.

Такое постоянство заставляет предположить, что люди со всего мира совершенно определённым образом обижают этот выбор, и здесь мало места для случайности. Если отвлечься от крайних значений, поскольку один и 100, упомянутый в вопросе, этим привлекает внимание, а также от 42 и 69, который точно назвали не случайно, явно выделяются несколько других чисел.

Похоже, их мы считаем более случайными, чем остальные. Это 7, 73, 77 и 37.
