На такой поверхности вряд ли накопится достаточное количество осадков; излишки будут сходить небольшими лавинами, и снежная доска так и не образуется. 75% сходов досок происходит на склонах под углом от 34 до 45 градусов. Для сравнения, большинство черных горнолыжных трасс имеют склон 30°, а самые крутые черные трассы — около 40°.
