К чему? Мы привыкли, когда мы говорим о геометрии, что есть некое бесконечное множество точек, которые мы называем плоскостью. На этой плоскости у нас есть там разные объекты: те же самые точки, прямые, отрезки, углы, треугольники.

Между прочим, попробуйте ответить на вопрос: а что такое, например, прямая? Многие начинают говорить: «Ну, это такая линия, которая там не имеет изгибов или изломов». Я тут же могу спросить: а что такое линия? А что такое изгиб?

И вот если вы попробуете дать подобное аккуратное определение, выяснится, что это просто невозможно. Поэтому в геометрии обычно прямая считается так называемым базовым понятием, то есть не определяемым. Точно так же, как точка.

Я слышал блестящее определение от одного из своих учеников: «Точка — это такая прямая, если ей посмотреть в торец».
