Вот такая коробочка при помощи компьютерного зрения постоянно сканирует помещение и обнаруживает в нём комаров, причём даже в темноте. Затем устройство ведёт вредителя до места посадки и подсвечивает его лазером. Хозяину остаётся всего лишь подойти к комару и уничтожить его.

Разумеется, не все постоянно смотрят на стены и потолок, поэтому предусмотрена отправка оповещения на смартфон. Производитель заявляет, что устройство хорошо обучено и реагирует только на комаров. Игрушка довольно дорогая, под 400 долларов, но где-то может быть вполне востребована. Так-то комары всё ещё переносят и вирус Зика, и лихорадку денге, и малярию.

Почему производители не встроили в турель лазер помощнее, как в автоматических уничтожителях, мы как-то рассказывали. Тоже понятно, лазер может не только комару, но и глазу повредить. С другой стороны, можно было бы с таким лазером добавить режим охоты, при котором ты покидаешь помещение, а турель начинает локальный инсектицид, и все довольны.
