Should You Go To University?

I would just say that if you are self-aware enough to realize that you're sort of middle of the road and you're not that good, then sure, go to university, get your stamp, try not to be brainwashed, and use it to at least get your first job.

But if you're good, if you're really good, going to university is probably a waste of your time unless you're trying to learn something very specific in a highly technical discipline that you could not learn on your own. That's kind of the exception for really bright people.

So if you need to learn aerospace engineering, I'm likely you're going to do it on your own; go to university. If you're just trying to learn how to start a business and you're really good, go start a business. You don't need to go to university for that.

So it is contextual, but I would say that the argument for highly intelligent and capable people who do not need a credential and don't need training in a very specific esoteric and technical discipline, the argument for those people to go to university is going down and down and down with every passing year.
