Porn Star Agent | Drugs, Inc.

Down in the San Fernando Valley, top porn agent Mark Spiegler is on his way to make sure a new client doesn't make the same mistake with her career. With us, the girls have three basic jobs: there's the sex part, and then there's the, you know, "don't make me look bad," and "don't give me stuff to worry about." Mark claims he's the only porn agent in LA who drug tests his clients. The way he sees it, mixing drugs and porn is bad for business.

"If you're really cute and you're high and this and that, people will shoot you a little bit, but after a while, they're going to get tired of your crap and you're done. If you get rid of the druggies, your company, your agency, and everything will actually do better." It's a strategy that's paid off. Mark's clients include some of the industry's most in-demand and experienced actresses.

For the girls, the key to longevity, staying around, and making a lot of money is that you have to be on the ball. "You got to be able to show up on time at the place, and take direction, and do the job, and go home." But since the mid-2000s, free websites and amateur porn have dented the number of LA-based porn producers. With less work out there, Mark wants to make sure his newest client starts off the right way.

"We're going home to test the new girl, E, for drugs, just to, you know, double make sure that she's not on anything." E is 18 years old; she's at the start of her porn career. "I've been doing it for about 9 months now. I'm actually treated a lot better in this industry than in the food or retail industry, other jobs that I've had before."

E's only done a handful of films. "It's fun. I like the people that I've worked with." But to have a shot at the big time with Mark, she needs to prove to him she's drug-free. "Time to get tested."
