Hey guys, this is Mac as 101.

Today, I'm going to be showing you how to make buildings taller with Photoshop.

So, as you can see, I got um this and this to this, and I'm showing you how I did that.

You can just open your building with Photoshop, and now I'm going to be making a new one because I want room to make it taller.

I'm going to make it like 400 by 490.

Now we're going to want to select this whole thing, paste it over there.

Okay, now let's use this tool and let's—okay, hold on one sec.

Okay, so now we're going to want to use the selecting tool that you want, and just select the top of the building.

Now, it's important to do the sides very like perfectly because otherwise it's going to get messed up.

But it doesn't have to be too perfect, especially if you're going to make it really tall because then it's gonna be smaller and you're not gonna see it as much.

Oh, very long. There we go!

Now we're gonna hit copy, go to this, and then just hit paste.

Then just drag it like close to where you want it, and then use the arrow keys since they're more precise to bring it more perfectly.

So I'm not going to make this perfect since I'm doing it very fast, but um, I'm just going to show you how to get this done.

So as you can see, after a while the sky is going to disappear, so I'm going to show you how you can get rid of that.

I'm just gonna add a few stories to this building.

Okay, there we go, it's not perfect but it's good enough.

Now, we're going to want to hide all of the new layers that you added, and afterwards you can merge all those layers.

Okay, and um, make sure you're in this layer.

Now you're just gonna wanna like take the select tool—wrong tool.

I'm just going to be selecting—hold on one sec—just select the sky that you want, so I'm just gonna select the top of this.

Okay, there we go, now you can say um, now I'm going to show this one too so you can see where the top is.

You're going to search, um, you're going to want to go under edit, transform, scale.

Right there— I said search something else because I forgot where it was, and then you're just going to stretch that.

It doesn't matter if the building gets stretched because those other layers are going to be over it.

Press Apple minus to make it smaller.

So I think that's enough sky.

So you can just say apply by clicking somewhere else and drag that down.

And there we go!

Now Apple plus, make it bigger again.

We're gonna show all these.

As you can see, um, one story was fogged because it's in between where the real building is and the layers we added were.

So to fix that, all you have to do is find, go to your layer, and say Apple V, so it'll be in between both of those.

And maybe it was a little more than one story, so I go back there, press Apple vegan.

Okay, so now as you can see, it's not perfect because I, because I was going fast so I didn't get to fix that line, and there it's kind of blurred.

So, um, one quick way to fix that is you can just go under here and erase the blurred part—the eraser tool.

But um, you're gonna have to be on a different layer.

You can just erase part of that length.

So um, there you go!

That's how you um make buildings taller in Photoshop.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial, and it helped you.
