Есть ещё одно изобретение, которое может спасти жизнь в такой ситуации: лавинная подушка. Если лыжник спровоцирует лавину, ему надо будет дёрнуть за ручку, и подушка раскроется. Она надуется быстро, обычно этого добивались за счёт сжатого воздуха.

Но в последнее время всё чаще встречаются насосы на батарейках. Эта подушка позволяет держаться на поверхности снежного потока и снижает шанс оказаться глубоко под снегом.

А ещё, если человек всё же окажется под снегом, подушка сдуется и оставит больше места для воздуха. А значит, на спасение будет больше времени.

Такие подушки почти в половину повышают шансы на выживание в США.
