Этот эффект назвали пренебрежением. Длительность в 2008 вышла работа, в которой говорится, что продолжительность отпуска никак не влияет на то, насколько приятные воспоминания о нём останутся.

Так, если длительность опыта не сказывается на воспоминаниях, то что сказывается? Похуже — это яркие моменты, особенно те, которые вызывают в нас самую сильную эмоциональную реакцию.

Как писал Милан Кундера, память не снимает фильм; память фотографирует. На этих фотографиях обычно застывают самые насыщенные, самые важные моменты: самые радостные, смешные, болезненные или страшные мгновения своей жизни. Мы обычно запоминаем лучше всего именно их.

Поэтому именно они формируют наше впечатление о каком-то опыте в целом.
