Крокодилы по земле и как, и за счёт каких особенностей они по ней так распространились. Давайте по порядку.

Крокодила морфы, самые ранние предки всех крокодиловых, появились на территории современной Европы, а тогдашней Гандбаны. Предки нынешних крокодилов и аллигаторов с наибольшей вероятностью отчековали около 200 млн лет назад в Северной Америке, точнее на северо-западе Пангеи, ибо Америки тогда ещё не было.

Это были вот такие [музыка] неозорий з ухи отпа ковали Эузух, к которым относятся все современные крокодилы. И у них опять произошло разделение: аллигаторы, к которым относятся аллигаторы и кайманы, более-менее остались на территории будущих Америк. А настоящие крокодилы взяли и расселились по оставшимся континентам.

То есть 145 млн лет назад как раз и появились крокодилы, освоившие практически весь мир, и помогла им в этом приобретённая способность преодолевать пространство солёной воды.
