Что происходит? Мы видим глазами появление на поверхности красного гиганта грануляции. Но эта грануляция - это грануляция в огромных масштабах.

Что это, в общем-то, такое? Это конвективные потоки, которые идут из недр звезды и вызывают на поверхности звезды вот такую рябь. Это явление нам известно на солнце.

Но солнце, поскольку само по себе, гораздо меньше. Между прочим, эта звезда имеет примерно солнечную массу, но приблизительно в 500 раз больше солнца по диаметру.
