А сейчас я расскажу вам о редком нарушении зрения — прозопоморфосии. Это когда люди видят лица других людей искажёнными. Это разновидность метаморфопсии — нарушение, когда человек видит ряд объектов искажёнными: цвет, форма, даже положение. Это могут быть внешние объекты, а могут быть и части собственного тела.

Иногда причина заключается в изменениях в глазном яблоке, иногда в нарушениях в мозге, а иногда — в наркотиках или шизофрении. В нашем случае под наблюдением оказался примерно 60-летний пациент, для которого вот уже на протяжении 30 месяцев все лица людей представлялись демоническими.

Учёные озаботились тем, чтобы зарисовать лица так, как их видит пациент с прозопалгией. В итоге получились изображения того, как воспринимает лица этот пациент. Вот так.
