Что случится, если бросить один цент с Empire State Building? Убьёт ли он прохожего на улице? Что нужно, чтобы монетка превратилась в смертоносное оружие? Я решил это выяснить и позвал на помощь разрушителя мифов Адама Сэвиджа.

Он поднимется вверх на вертолёте и будет кидать в меня мелочь. Об этом слышали буквально все. Только заговоришь – все сразу: "А да, кинуть монетку с Empire State Building!" И, кстати, мы там были. Заглядываешь за край смотровой площадки, каждый уступ буквально усыпан железом.

Эти люди – у меня слов нет. Они не хотят никого убивать. Но такие... Да ладно, это же не правда! И кидают монетки. Но ведь неправда! 1 цент весит около 2,5 г. Это примерно в 2-4 раза меньше пули. Если пренебречь сопротивлением воздуха, при падении с самой вершины Empire State Building, высота которого достигает 443 м, монета наберёт скорость больше 300 км/ч.
