Surprising Shark Tank with 24 Unique Tudor Watches

NE wonderful here, and you can't believe where I am—in Beverly Hills, hours before we give away the Shark Tank watches. 24 recipients were there when we first made the pilot for Shark Tank 16 years ago. Only 24 people were there that day and are still working on the show today.

There is a remarkable watch made by Tudor. Incredible because it's got the Shark Tank logo on it, and it's got, on the back, their name, a unique serial number, and also the saying, "One great idea can change your life forever," and then their name. I mean, it's an incredible inscription—one-of-a-kind piece unique for these individuals made of pure silver. So, uh, very excited about this, and we're just preparing with Valentina here, my lovely assistant. We're going through each one, getting the serial number and making sure that they're all packaged beautifully for the dinner.

We're going to have just across the street. Almost everybody's showing up, except for the few who’ll eventually get the watch too. But we're in the middle of shooting the end of Shark Tank season 16, so it's a perfect night. We're only 2 days away from the wrap party—our 16th year.

All right, let's go back to the watches for a second. Valentino, give me the serial number for just over halfway.

All right, this one here is number 19 out of 24—Barbara. Coochy 20 out of 24—Damon John. Number 21 out of 24—Robert Hershey. This one is number 22 out of 24—Mark Cuban. Last but not least, Lori Greiner—23 out of 24.

So the next thing I'm going to do is, when we get to the dinner and hand them out, there'll be a few people missing. I'm going to check off everybody that takes their watch and just keep the inventory of the ones that don't. I will take them back to my vaults in Florida and hand them to them personally.

Everybody in this room was present at the pilot of Shark Tank over 16 years ago and is still working on the show now. Wow! American television—this is unprecedented, as you may know. And I thought, how do we somehow put a marker in this unique occasion?

Thank you, Kevin. How do we do that? I'm a watch guy—hardcore, really. So I thought, if you think about what really marks time in your life, it's a watch. It's very hard to get a great Swiss watch company to sit down with you and make 24 unique pieces. You need no other; nobody else in the world will have them with a logo on it.

So the Shark Tank logo is owned by Sony. It took two years to get their rights to that, and Clay knows all about it. Not only are these pieces unique, they have your name on them. They have a unique serial number on them to you, and do they have, I mean, the words “One idea can change your life forever”—Shark Tank—which is probably hard to convince a company like Tudor to do this out of unique material—pure silver.

The reason silver is incredible is that very few watch companies would do that. Silver, I'm wearing my version of this watch right now. The patina changes with your body chemistry over the years. Every watch—a decade from now—will be different. People will approach you in the months and years ahead to buy these pieces from you because of the logo and the uniqueness of them. They'll offer you an extraordinarily high amount of money for it.

That's what happens when you get a unique piece—do not sell them, because you’re with me. If you do that, it’s got your name on it. And no matter what the price is, these are heirlooms.

I just wanted to set a quick toast. Kevin, we give you a lot of heat over the years for a lot of things, but I have to say, some of it is deserving—most of it is deserving. Clay, but I have to tell you, Kevin and I have been doing this show, including C, for about 20 years, and this man is incredible. He always knew the show would be what it would be. So many great memories for people who changed. Adam, I want to thank you because this will be a memory I think we'll all remember.
