Надёжных способов избавиться от храпа немного. Есть специальное оборудование, вентилирующее дыхательные пути во время сна, но он очень громоздкое. Есть вставки в рот, перекрывающие дыхание ртом, хирургическое или крюхирургическое вмешательство в небо и имплантаты для нёба.

Но ещё одна из сопутствующих храпа вещей - это обструктивное пноя, точнее, апноэ, может быть причиной храпа. При одной во сне то и дело наступает коллапс верхних дыхательных путей; дыхание прерывается, а восстанавливается с эффектом в виде храпа.

Если бы мы разобрались в причинах храпа, то мы бы могли найти элегантный путь избавиться от одной из причин храпа.

Недавно учёные выяснили, что некоторые белки, а конкретно таск-1, это мембранные белки, которые участвуют в контроле верхних дыхательных путей, влияют и на ночное окно. И если их подавить, то апноэ отступает.

Разумеется, разработали препарат ингибитор таск-1, то есть подавитель этого белка, который недавно прошёл первую стадию клинических испытаний.
