YouTube Extra Large

Hey guys! This is Mids in One. Today I'm going to be showing you a new feature on YouTube.

So when you go to YouTube's homepage, let me just show you here on Safari. It's very complicated and, um, it's cluttered up there—ads everywhere! It's just too complex.

So say you want a simpler version of YouTube that just has a search, and you can watch videos, and it's a little faster. There's a way to do that. You go to youtube.com/L.

Now, YouTube XL is a simpler version of YouTube, so you can still use the search thing all the same to go. Unfortunately, you can't go to like youtube.com/xlmheads1; you can't view channels simply. But you can use this to sign into your account, and as you can see, it actually does change the page here.

There's a um, a separate login page for XL if you want to log in using XL. And so now you can click your account, you can see all your latest videos, and you can click "view Standard Version" just to go back to the regular YouTube.

But the fancy thing about this is you can watch videos, and it stays right on the YouTube XL page, so it doesn't change the location of your browser. So this makes it— it uses ajaxy stuff to do this, and that's kind of cool.

It also has a great UI, and I believe they use JavaScript for this great UI. Actually, for the flash, they obviously use Flash to play videos, but it appears as though they use JavaScript.

So you can also check out the most viewed. It's almost like the simple YouTube app on the iPhone; it has all the functionalities of the 2.0 YouTube app earlier.

So you can watch your video. They have this simplified video player right here, and it's pretty cool that they remade their video player.

So if I do this kid, this video that people have been waiting for for a long time—RM. So, and you can fast forward and make it full screen in YouTube XL's full-screen video play.

So this is YouTube XL—the coolest, um, simple way to view YouTube, in my opinion. It has a great UI, so check out YouTube XL.

Um, so I will have a link in the description of the video for YouTube XL if you want to use that.

So thanks for watching! Mao, subscribe, and goodbye.
