BEST IMAGES OF THE WEEK: IMG! episode 2

·Nov 10, 2024

You guys asked for it, so here it is. Whether it's Mario Brothers from Mario's perspective, or a girl gamer who seems to be saying, "Uh yeah, size does matter," it can only mean one thing: Episode 2 of [Music] IMG.

This week, BuzzFeed brought us some of the best pictures of the moment: a baseball hits someone's face, and then, what the H? How about some baseball bats too? Speaking of pictures taken at just the right time, here's the Google Street View Camera splattered with bird poop on Sunset Boulevard in LA. If you want to explore the bird poop as it happened, there's a link in the description to the actual street view image, as well as every single image in this show.

Bam! Right off the bat, I'm going to break the rules and show some video clips, because let's be serious—why the age not? These clips were featured on LLs this week, and they are the most unnecessary inventions. Right now, you're watching a grass treadmill, but they also had a machine whose only function was to unplug itself, and a banana fan.

All right, back to still images, but not that still. I first saw this image in a psychology class, and I revisited it this week because of Mo Illusions. Move your eyes around, and you will see the image rotate and move! Seriously, pause the video and keep looking. Pretty freaky, right?

Mo Illusions also had this really cool picture of Albert Einstein! Or is it? Step away from your screen like 10 ft away, and the picture will magically transform into Marilyn Monroe. Go back up close, and bam! It's Albert Einstein.

[Music] Again, maybe they're real, maybe they're photoshopped. You guys tell me what you think, but they are Mcer-styled impossible structures made out of Legos. Whatever it is, they're really cool! Back to BuzzFeed—this collection is really hot today, and it is titled "Proof Geeks Are Sexy."

[Music] [Applause] Now we’re going to transition from sexy to tiny and slimy, which in my case is the same thing. This picture is super popular on Nama. Scientists discovered the world's smallest ever frog—nope, not that one, smaller! Bam! There it is! Look at that guy!

There were some great suggestions over at facebook.com/vsaucegaming. Lucas submitted what is both the funniest and the scariest video game glitch mod, Acid Trip, whatever you want to call it. And speaking of one-eyed monsters, Isaiah gave us this fantastic wow screen cap. Now look at the torren! His title is "The Patient." Um, something tells me death flower is not that good. Do you want something scary?

DK gave us this picture, which I'm guessing is the first Thanksgiving. And back to something sexy—Kazia submitted this Photoshop of Sylvanas on the cover of Cosmopolitan. It's an entire Azeroth issue, so be sure to read all of the titles on it.

And just that fast, it's the end of Episode 2 of IMG. Remember to submit your favorite images of the week over at facebook.com/VsauceGaming. Subscribe to Vsauce for more. See you next week!

Understanding place value when subtracting
What we’re going to do in this video is get some practice subtracting multi-digit numbers. I’m going to use 1000 minus 528 as our example, but it’s really to understand different methods and how they all fit together and why it actually makes sense. So, …
How Trees Bend the Laws of Physics
Sometimes the simplest questions have the most amazing answers. Like how can trees be so tall? It’s a question that doesn’t even seem like it needs an answer. Trees just are tall. Some of them are over 100 meters. Why should there be a height limit? I’ll…
Space Elevator – Science Fiction or the Future of Mankind?
It’s hard to get to space. As much as we all wish there were an easy and affordable way to see our planet floating in the dark, right now, the only way is to become an astronaut or a billionaire. But there is a concept that might make it possible - while …
Re: Randyom Neuron (Reply to Everett)
Hey Randy, Um, I’m having a bit of trouble trying to explain myself in the comments, as you’ve probably noticed. So, this is a short video. Um, Everett’s requirement for free work for free will, or rather one of them, was that not only does the self have…
Taking the Pulse of Our Planet | National Geographic
A lot of our mapping and a lot of our work is about discovery. Still, it’s still that way, but it’s equal now to measurements that will help people make better decisions at a scale that is really important. That scale might be the state of California scal…
What order to do operations in
If I were to ask you what is five minus three plus two, what would you say that is? Pause this video and try to figure that out. All right, well, if you wanted to tackle this, you would really just read it from left to right, or you would compute it from…
