For years, we've been building Big Think with the goal of creating the best interview on the internet, helping our audience get smarter, faster. Recently, we reached a huge milestone thanks to y'all: six million subscribers!

On behalf of the entire Big Think team, thank you. Whether you've been with us since the beginning or discovered us more recently, you're an integral part of our success, and we're just getting started.

Sitting in our brand new studio, which will enable us to produce even more videos, we have some exciting stuff planned in the coming months. To help make it happen, we're rolling out a new Big Think membership program, but more on that in a moment.

First, I want to pull back the curtain a bit. Over the years, you've mostly heard from our amazing subjects, and for good reason; that's our goal: to share interesting perspectives from important thinkers. But making these interviews is no simple feat. It requires a whole team: bookers, producers, directors, cinematographers, animators, writers, and more to bring you new videos and articles every week.

But while you don't hear from us that often, we hear from you all the time. Part of what makes Big Think so special. We've also heard from you about the things you'd like to see from us: suggestions on people we should interview, new products like full extended interviews, or audio versions you can listen to as podcasts. A lot of what you're asking for, we are going to do, and more.

To make it happen, we're rolling out a new Big Think membership program, which provides unique perks at two distinct tiers. The first tier is just three dollars a month. It will allow you to support the channel while offering you a chance to see videos before they're released to the public. It will also provide members with a dedicated space for you to interact with our team.

In that space, you'll be able to suggest topics, vote on who we interview, and suggest questions for upcoming Big Think guests. In addition to those perks, the second tier at ten dollars a month will deliver some of our most requested features: full-length interviews, the ability to listen to interviews in your podcast feed, and access to exclusive merchandise.

And that's just the beginning. We plan to continue adding perks as we hear from you about what you value most. For those who choose not to sign up, we'll still provide you with the same high-quality YouTube experience you've come to expect from Big Think.

But we have big ambitions, and to reach those, we want to bring the community into the fold. Becoming a member supports our mission to help the world wrestle with interesting and important perspectives. We believe strongly in that mission and think it's needed now more than ever. [Music]

Connecting f, f', and f'' graphically | AP Calculus AB | Khan Academy
We have the graphs of three functions here, and what we know is that one of them is the function f, another is the first derivative of f, and then the third is the second derivative of f. Our goal is to figure out which function is which— which one is f, …
Quadratic approximation example
When we last left off in the riveting saga of quadratic approximations of multivariable functions, we were approximating a two-variable function f of x, y, and we ended up with this pretty monstrous expression. Because it’s written in its full abstract fo…

Let’s now take some limits involving composite functions. So over here we have the limit of G of H of x as x approaches three. And like always, I encourage you to pause the video and see if you can figure this out on your own. Well, we can leverage our l…
It’s Rare to Have Competing, Viable, Scientific Theories
Edition that’s similar to Bayesianism, isn’t it? In both cases, they’re assuming that you can enumerate all the possible theories, but you can’t, because that’s the creativity coming in. It’s very rare in science to have more than one viable theory in phy…
