Our New App: Weezles

Hey guys! This Mac has it on with a new free app that we have on the App Store now.

So, a long time ago, I worked on an app called, uh, iPad Shooter, where iPads would pop up and you shoot them and you get points. There were achievements, there were birds that would fly by, and you could kill them too. And, uh, it was a really nice app, and it was fun and addicting. My friends actually loved it; I showed it to some of them, and they begged me to put it on their iPods because it's so funny.

My friends and I decided we'd make it for the App Store. In order to do that, you have to obviously change iPads to something else. You can't have a game where someone has to shoot an Apple product on the Apple App Store, you know? So, uh, that was not an option.

In this game, you can shoot weasels, and so, you know, it's pretty much the same thing. There are achievements; as you can see on my, um, simulator here, I haven't achieved any of these. By the end of the first game, I will have achieved most of them. I can turn on and off sound because sound kind of gets annoying sometimes. It keeps track of my total points and total games played.

So here, let's give the gameplay a try, and I'll just, uh, sit back and let the sound play. You can listen to some of the gameplay and watch it. I played this a lot obviously since I was debunking it and doing various things, so I'm better than your average user on an iPod touch who has fat fingers, not a little mouse that he's clicking. I'm probably going to make it to the last level where normal people don't make it to.

There are only four stages, um, which we have to add more, but if I make it there, just bear with me. I'll try to lose as fast as possible once I'm there so that way I don't bore you guys. But anyway, let's start the game. When I shoot this bird, an achievement will pop up at the top because I just got buck shot, um, level up.

So, as you can see, the point of the game is not to shoot the weasels with the halo. As the level gets harder, this is the third level. The next level is the last, and I believe that should be from now or this next kill again will come up live. Here we go!

And, uh, this is the last stage. I have three lives left, and I lost game. So here, it keeps track of my total points, my total games played. Uh, I can go to achievements now, and I've probably achieved quite a bit. I made my own, uh, achievements sort of system, and it's, uh, not Game Center or anything. I like it the way it is. I mean, I made it originally; it was just kind of messing around. I didn't want to use Game Center because I was just messing around.

Um, so anyway, this is free on the App Store. If you want to get it, just enjoy some mindless entertainment. Uh, see the link in the description to see it in the, um, in iTunes.

A while ago, uh, some of you may know that I also post software demos to Mac Heads 202. So, if I'm working on an app that I don't make a Mac as a one-on-one video on and I want to make like a 30-second preview of the app, I'll post it to Mac Heads 202. Uh, so I'll have a link in the description for that channel as well.

Uh, and I believe like a couple months ago, I was posting demos of this. Last year, I was actually working on this. Yeah, last year I was working last school year, so it wasn't in 2009. But, you know, months and many months ago was when I was actually working on this app.

Uh, so it's not a recent app; it just recently got accepted. So, um, anyway, this has been a brief review over at WeaselWhacker. So thanks for watching that, kids. Unsubscribe, and good bye!
