Italy diaries🇮🇹 | solo trip in Rome, eating yummy food, shopping
Hi, it's me Judy. While watching this video, you might think, "Aren't you a med student, Rudy? What are you doing in the middle of the year in Italy?" The reason why I went to Italy is that I took an exam. I took a medical exam in Italy, and here is the journey of what I've done after the exam in Rome. Enjoy!
Ever since that day, I'm gonna make you feel this pain. [ __ ] that hoe, she's not my bae! Stop my money, new [ __ ] on me. If you wanna smoke like [ __ ] okay, pull up in a pee party. I'mma hop out with a tan on me. I got brand. Guess who is in Rome? Yes, I'm in Rome. I'm staying alone tonight; I mean tomorrow night as well. I came here and this is my second day.
I was staying out of the city center, and now I'm in the middle of the city center. I'm staying at this hotel, this nice hotel. My hotel is really nice, and it's kind of big for like a single person. I mean, it's designed for two people for sure, but since I'm gonna stay alone, it's fine. My mom is currently in Japan, so I actually wanted to invite her, but she's currently in Japan. My brother is working seven times a week, and my dad has Turkish past, which means he needs a visa. You know, we have Japanese past; that's why we don't need a visa. So inviting my dad is kind of like a stressful process.
Therefore, when we travel, we most of the time go with my mom, me, or mom, brother, me. Whenever we—oh, we I think went to Japan with my brother, only two of us. I think me and dad also went there. Ah, I don't know.
Anyways, let me do you a—let me do you a o'clock. Hotel ain't got no job! What the hell should I do today? This feel like a mile. Give a [ __ ]! Oh my god, shut the [ __ ] up! I ain't hearing what you gotta say. What the deal? How you feel? Not important, acting like you know me, that's the worst. Yeah, I think it's pretty nice. I thought we have a bathtub, but we don't have it apparently. But it's okay; I'm planning to go to a restaurant, a pizza restaurant called—what was that? I don't know. But yeah, ah, I'm hungry. I'm sleepy.
I think I'm gonna chill out a little bit. I'm not really sure, to be honest. But yeah, I asked on my Instagram where and what should I eat in Rome, and a lot of you guys recommended me Tonarello, which is a super famous restaurant, and a lot of people said eat carbonara. Carbonara; sorry Italians if I'm pronouncing this wrong, but Rafael said that. But it's currently 12:30, and I looked online, and it's the rush time. I tried to book, but all of the books were reserved.
So I think I'm gonna go there for dinner, and they said for like dinner, it’s around 7 p.m. is the rush time. So I think I'm gonna have my dinner around like 5 p.m. or something—5 p.m., 6 p.m. ish. I think I'm going to go to Tonarello and then have some carbonara.
And then also, a lot of people recommended me Pompey—Pompey for tiramisu. My mom ordered me a couple of vines, and butter, and some food from Italy, and for my brother, I'm gonna get a perfume, and for my dad, he didn't order anything, so I'm gonna ask my dad—Baba! Yeah, so yeah, I'm gonna write my schedule, and afterwards, we're gonna achieve all of them.
So today, I'm gonna try to get down as much as I can. I decided to go to this restaurant called Tonarello, but then when I look to the map, it says I have to take a train. And since I don't know the public transportation system currently in Italy, and since I look so much like an Asian tourist, and I've heard that Asian tourists can get easily stolen, I was a bit scared, and I decided to take a taxi.
And for taxi, I use an app called Free. This video is not sponsored, but it says how much it's gonna take in order to go to that place. So I booked my taxi by using that app. Afterwards, I came to this restaurant, and I ordered something. I don't remember, but it was really good, really, really, really good! So good!
After my appetizer, I ordered something called Spritz, I don't remember, and then carbonara—so good! So yum! Oh my god! So after eating my yummy food, I was so full. So I decided to walk a little bit; rather than taking a taxi, I decided to walk places randomly. I didn't open maps or anything. I was mesmerized by how beautiful the city is.
I'm worried that I'm not that lucky. I'm worried that they never gonna love me. I'm worried that I'll be a [ __ ] joke. I'm worried that I don't have control. You ain't gotta come to conclusions; don't worry, you ain't gotta come to conclusions.
This is, as you can probably tell, I came back to my hotel. I walked 10K steps, about like seven kilometers—no, 7.04 kilometers. I'm gonna show you guys what I got from the supermarket. When I go for travel, the thing that I want to see is not like touristic places, but more like supermarkets. The thing that we really love with my mom to do is going to local or like supermarkets and trying a bunch of different—you know—foods and buying a bunch of like different local foods. I really love it; I just love it so much! We like to explore supermarkets quite a lot, and whenever I go to other countries, my mom is like, “Send me photos from supermarkets and stuff.”
So, she ordered a couple of different things, so I'm going to show you guys. So she ordered two Amarone, and I think she ordered something called Bellrone. If I'm not wrong, I'm gonna get that tomorrow, but it was too heavy, so I decided to get it tomorrow. And I also got myself a lot of risotto from Kenor. Italian cooker is really delicious, really good!
And since I cannot cook, these gonna really help me. I got the porcini and then pescatora asparagi. I might—I might, maybe I’m reading these wrong—just like, you know, listen to my fake Italian accent parameters. And yeah, that's it! I only got those. But this is the first round; I’ll go to the supermarket a couple of more times because there are so many things that my mom ordered, and I also want to look for different things as well.
I went to a really close, really small supermarket; there weren't that much thing. So, I'm so tired! I'm so [ __ ] tired at this moment. I think I'm gonna make myself some tea.
Again, classically forget to take an outro for her video, so here is my random clip of me making coffee from my previous vlogs. But the thing that I can say is that on my third day, so in the upcoming vlog, I did more things and explored the city more, so stay tuned for that vlog. And I hope you enjoyed this vlog. Love you guys, and I'm giving you kisses. Bye!
