WWDC: iPhone 4

Hey guys, this is Mids, and one today I'm going to be discussing the iPhone 4 that Apple went over today at the WWDC.

So today at the Worldwide Developer Conference, Apple talked about the much rumored about, much anticipated iPhone 4. All right, copies of this phone have been found and blogged about by Gizmodo and a couple other sites, and that's what the iPhone 4 pretty much turned out to be.

This is the first time that I've been following Apple that we've been dead on. We knew that there was going to be a front-facing camera, and there is. We knew it was going to look like it pretty much looks like that.

So, the iPhone 4, let me just go over some of the features here. Physically, its screen is the same size. Its pixels are four times smaller, meaning that where a normal pixel is in your phone, is now four pixels. So, it's twice as high, twice as wide pixel-wise; it's the same size.

So, the pixels are going to be much smaller. This means it'll look cleaner. The pixels are actually almost impossible for your eye to see, and that's where apps that are made to work with this new pixel size are going to be terrific. It's just going to be like iPhone apps, just a bit smaller, careful the closer your face. But it's going to be really nice.

A hardware thing they're also adding is, of course, the front-facing camera, and what it comes with in software is video chat. So, you can dial someone up and video chat with them just like in the futuristic movies. There's also iMovie, which supports both cameras, I believe. That's going to be nice.

It's got a faster processor, of course, so it's going to be really nice with this iMovie stuff. If you think about it, even the iPhone 3G had primitive video editing software, and this is just going to raise the bar.

I'm not sure if any other phones yet have video editing software, so this is going to be a major advance forward. Phone-wise, it's physically going to have a gyroscope within it, so that means things can move it around.

If you're playing a racing game and you're going left, you know in real life, GeForce is going to be pulling you to the right. So your phone can be pulled to the right, like it just adds effect.

Then in theory, I can make an app that's a normal text-based app. You're just navigating, and all of a sudden your phone flies out of your hands. But I don't think it's quite that powerful, but that'd be pretty nifty, you have to admit.

It's thinner, so that was correct. You know, it looks pretty much like Gizmodo and those other sites were blogging about. You can just check those out; maybe I'll have a link for some of the articles there.

But yeah, that's pretty much all I have to say on the iPhone 4. You can leave your comments below, and I can check them out, see if they're right. You know, if they are, I might add annotation or something.

Anyway, that's just my brief understanding of this new iPhone 4. So yeah, thanks for watching. Ma and one, subscribe and goodbye.
