Parallel Parking a Houseboat | Port Protection

·Nov 11, 2024

Taking advantage of this window of good weather, a man and steward have decided today is the day to tow Amanda's houseboat back to Port Protection.

“Err, yeah, push that bow off and jump on clear. Yeah, right out!”

Friends with Swiftwater, and it's a challenging spot where there's a bunch of pinnacles that are coming up out of the ocean. We have to get through that before we get to some deeper water. The man is up forward keeping an eye out for me because I can't see the logs and stuff, and the dock is getting closer. The tricky part's coming up, gonna spin her around, so just be ready to shout at me when we're there because I can't see over there.

“Okay, every land needs a practice crash landing, so we'll see what we can get away with here.”

“15 feet, it's not easy trying to pair a little park of houseboat.”

“That's good! Whoo! Nice, Amanda, look, we got you here now! I feel good!”

“So awesome, man! It's going to be exciting to move on to the houseboat. You see all the work that needs to be done, but that's all right. Life in Port Protection, always a challenge, always a journey.”
